Once Upon a Time
Legend has it that in the beginning, the planet Cielune was desolate and lifeless. The creator god Aethera separated herself into three manifestations: Lumir, Magnus, and Terra, each possessing a gemstone—three seeds of life. With their divine powers, the gods sowed the seeds of life on the planet Cielune, channeling energy into the three stones and sealing them at the three poles of the world, allowing life to sprout and all things to flourish.
Lumir possesses the Bloodstone of will, ambition, and desire. He is the source of passion and the essence of all existence.
The god of wisdom, Magnus, holds the Blue Stone, embodying arcane magic and endless knowledge.
Goddess Terra possesses the Green Stone, the deity of life.
Lumir fell in love with Terra, and they gave birth to two children, a son and a daughter, named Las and Io. Both possess divine beauty, ethereal appearances, pointed ears, and striking platinum hair. Las and Io are the first beings of the Elven race.
Seeing his friends’ happiness together, Magnus felt a pang of loneliness. To fill the void, he molded a being from clay to keep him company, sharing his soul with her and naming her Eva. They lived happily together and had three children. These were the first humans on the continent of Edenval, the first three kings of the Human race.
Their eldest daughter, Mycena, inherited Magnus’s magical abilities and chose to settle in the western plains, becoming the first queen of the Water Kingdom. She cherishes peace and sees all creatures as equals.
The second son, Vulcan, inherited Magnus’s intellect and had a passion for crafting. He chose to settle in the east, in a land rich with strange minerals, which would later be known as the Fire Kingdom.
The youngest son, Seraph, possessed a strong spiritual connection and the ability to channel supernatural energy. He approached and understood the roots of arcane magic and the dark forces of the planet Cielune, choosing to reside in the northern lands, naming his kingdom the Earth Kingdom.
Thanks to the energy of the Green Stone, life flourished on the planet Cielune. All creatures multiplied and thrived. Lumir, with his love, helped wild beasts evolve into a new race—the Beastfolk, part human and part beast. They lived in tribes, possessing superior physiques. With their large and fierce bodies and long teeth like wild boar tusks, the Beastfolk found it difficult to coexist with the Elves and Humans, leading them to a nomadic lifestyle, always on the move.
Thanks to Magnus’s knowledge, the Humans developed rapidly and became the dominant race on the planet Cielune. Unfortunately, as they only possessed a fragment of the creator god’s soul, they were flawed. They became envious, hateful, and greedy. As they multiplied, their desires grew insatiable. They exploited resources, destroyed the environment, and pushed the once lush lands into barrenness. Humanity’s greed seemed boundless, harming all creatures.
Suffering from his “creation,” Magnus consulted with Lumir and Terra, deciding to divide Cielune into three realms: the Celestial Realm, the Middle Realm, and the Underworld. From this division, a belief system formed, rooted in the idea that if one lived righteously, their soul would find happiness in the Celestial Realm; otherwise, they would descend to the Underworld to suffer. This cycle of reincarnation began. The Celestial Realm was overseen by the Great Elves, led by Las and Io. To govern the Underworld, Magnus created Hallagol, the first demon. Hallagol served as a deterrent to humanity, punishing the wicked.
Originally, Hallagol was destined to be created as a mindless entity. However, Magnus did not foresee that his emotions during the creation would impart a portion of his own soul into the demon. During one of his missions to vanquish evil, Hallagol saved a girl and fell in love with her. The demon broke free from his mindless chains, becoming a being of freedom. The culmination of this love resulted in children who would eventually form the Demon race.
This situation led to Hallagol being punished by Magnus, preventing him from returning to the Middle Realm. Hallagol’s children could not accompany their father back to their home in the Underworld; instead, they had to hide in dark caves, hunted by the world above. Witnessing the suffering of his offspring, Hallagol pleaded with Magnus, who, moved by compassion, bestowed blessings upon this new race, allowing the Demon race to thrive. The magical abilities of the Demons soon emerged, surpassing those of other races.
Noticing the rapid growth of the Demon race, and to prevent them from developing the same greed as humans, Magnus created the Crown of Dark Light and bestowed it upon Hallagol’s firstborn, Lucier, the first Demon King. The crown served as a kind of control, ensuring that the Demons would not commit evil acts.
Children were taught through nursery rhymes that committing evil would result in punishment from demons, a lesson that proved somewhat effective. Although the Demon race came into existence unintentionally, they helped maintain balance in the world. After fulfilling their mission on Cielune, the gods vanished, and legends say they continued their journey to sow the seeds of life on other planets.
